In honouring its 10th anniversary this year, Lamborghini Singapore showcased its limited edition supercars at the Mandarin Oriental Singapore yesterday afternoon. With only ten cars available in the world, these limited edition cars have been specially commissioned, for the first time, by Lamborghini factory exclusively for the Singapore market.
More importantly, Lamborghini Singapore has pledged to donate S$20,000 from the sale of each of the ten special 10th Anniversary limited edition Lamborghini cars to The Straits Times School Pocket Money Fund (SPMF), totaling to a generous S$200,000 for the less fortunate students in Singapore.
Available only in two colours, these Lamborghini cars can be easily recognised with the red stripes on the sides and a Merlion logo that’s labeled on the exterior of each car. Apparently, Mr Melvin Goh, Managing Director of Lamborghini Singapore, began discussions with the Lamborghini factory as early as July last year just to ensure that the cars can be specially made for Singapore. It took close to three months before the concept was finalised.
Nonetheless, the effort was well paid-off. A dinner function was held last night at the Mandarin Oriental Singapore where new owners of the well-received limited edition cars got the keys to their brand new wheels.
For Lamborghini Singapore’s 10th anniversary celebration, the generous brand will continue on with its line-up of Community Service Responsibility activities in 2011 in a bid to share the spirit of caring and giving.
