Being in a high hill position where we are now allows us to see a lot of developments rising in Phuket, from north to south, from east to west. Many projects we also visited were likeable. Some projects amazed us with the creativity of designers. Some show great attention in every detail. However, there were only a few we totally fell in love with, during our very first steps inside. There are few projects that can evoke our thirst for buying. Sincerely, La Colline is one of those.
Phuketindex.com visited La Colline’s show house one day by invitation of the developer “Property 55” and its discerning director, Mr. Alain Cohen. We were greeted warmly by the team even though they were busy and putting their concentration into the project’s accomplishment, on the verdant hills overlooking the Andaman Ocean, in one of the quietest corners in Phuket, near Layan beach.
La Colline’s show house has a bit of a strange layout – though still very much impressive.
Entering by foot from the front, you go under its arched entrance and walk along the sidewalk which is beside a nature loving idea, a lovely ‘garden wall’, passing guests’ bedrooms on the ground floor, taking steps to the so-called ‘Pool Level’ to get into the living room patio and master bedroom, continuing further to the kitchen and dining area on the top floor, which connects to the maids’ quarter and parking space tucked behind the entire building.
The villas were built on an open plan layout and designed to take advantage of the tropical climate. The wise use of natural materials and well positioned floor-to-ceiling windows maximise the flow of natural breezes and let natural light in all year round, for comfort and energy saving.
Three guestrooms are discreetly isolated from the main building which means guests can independently access their rooms without disturbing the owner. All bedrooms with en suite bathrooms are spacious, well appointed and allow a direct access to landscaped garden. The master bedroom & bathroom en suite can be reached by the corridor and another staircase on the left side of building. It is top notch with a spacious bathroom featuring an outdoor Jacuzzi, home automation solutions for lighting, entertainment and security, 180 degree ocean vistas and the privilege of a swimming pool – just a step away. A swimming pool laps up to the lounge area. Backed behind the deck is a refreshment zone with storage and bar counter island – ideal for both everyday relaxation and occasional parties. A modern kitchen on the upper floor is equipped with a fridge, dishwashing machine, state of the art oven etc. (optional). Connected to the kitchen on a higher level, the dining room and living area provides lots of space. With huge windows on either side, you can enjoy a picturesque view of the Andaman Sea just metres above the sea level and a fresh sea breeze without an obstruction.
Scheduled to be complete later this year, the whole project consists of 17 villas, a club house and two pond water reservoirs for internal use. Each villa is being built on an elevated level of a lush hill. The design and layout of the buildings are optimized to ensure an unobstructed panorama. There are only three villas now left to sell.
