When you step into the Anantara Spa of Anantara Phuket Villas you are stepping into an original Thai themed house “Ruan Thai“. The moment you enter you can feel the warm, quiet and relaxing atmosphere. The building is situated close to the waterfront where a variety of fish are swimming freely, providing an amazing setting as close to nature as possible.
Upon arrival there is a warm welcome from the staff and you are offered the Spa’s refreshment of choice, lemon grass juice. For our visit Ms. Darika Hom-eum (Jun), Area Spa Manager provided information about the spa and took us to visit the treatment rooms available. “This spa is decorated in a Southern Asia and Thai style with small added touch of Morocco. We want the spa to give a feeling of warmth whilst being relaxing too “Jun said.
The spa facilities available at Anantara Spa include 5 luxurious treatment suites, 2 suites with private terrazzo soaking tubs and a dedicated Ayurvedic suite with steam room. Couples’ treatments are available whether you’re honeymooners, couples or friends and there’s an Al fresco Thai sala available for private massage and yoga. Anantara Spa offers a full range of award-winning Elemis spa and aromatherapy products as well as an array of rich local herbs and plants.
The first room we viewed was one of the five luxurious treatment suites. Within the suite is a changing room, shower with bathroom facilities, 2 massage beds and a sala for massage. This room is ideal for those wanting treatments with a partner or friend.
The second room was one of the two suites with private terrazzo soaking tubs. The facilities inside this suite are the same as those available in the suite mentioned above. However, this suite includes the pretty and eye catching, lotus flower shaped soaking tub.
The final room was the dedicated Ayurvedic suite with steam room. Within this room are a steam room, shower with bathroom facilities, 2 Ayurveda massage beds and 2 shirodhara machines.
The signature treatment of Anantara Spa is the “Pearl of Andaman” treatment (120 Minutes)Much like the Eastern lotus flower – a symbol of spiritual unfolding – this journey revitalises your whole being from the toes up. After a cleansing foot soak, a traditional Chinese massage clears your meridians so your energy flows freely. Finish with a nourishing anti-ageing facial to boost circulation for enhanced elasticity and radiance.
